Welcome to Majlis. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our mobile application and website. By accessing or using Majlis, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Majlis app, you confirm that you accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to comply with them. These terms apply to all users of the app, including visitors and registered users.

Description of Services

Majlis provides the following services:

• Accurate prayer times based on your location
• Qibla direction compass
• Digital Tasbeeh counter
• Mosque and halal restaurant locator
• Prayer notifications and reminders
• Islamic calendar and date converter
• Daily Islamic content and guidance

User Responsibilities

As a user of Majlis, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating an account or using our services
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Use the app in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not misuse or abuse the services provided
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the application
• Not use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Respect the intellectual property rights of Majlis and third parties

Account Registration

Some features of Majlis may require you to create an account. When creating an account:

• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

Accuracy of Information

While we strive to provide accurate prayer times and Islamic information, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. Prayer times are calculated based on various methods and your location data. Users should verify important religious timings with local Islamic authorities when necessary.

Location Services

Majlis requires access to your device's location services to provide accurate prayer times and locate nearby mosques. By using our app, you consent to the collection and use of location data as described in our Privacy Policy. You may disable location services at any time through your device settings, but this may limit app functionality.

Notifications

If you enable notification features, you consent to receive prayer reminders and other relevant notifications from Majlis. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings or within the app at any time.

Intellectual Property Rights

All content, features, and functionality of Majlis, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, are the property of Majilis or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute any content from the app without permission
• Use our trademarks or branding without written consent
• Create derivative works based on our app
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

Third-Party Services

Majlis may integrate with or contain links to third-party services, including:

• Prayer time calculation APIs
• Map and location services
• Analytics and advertising services
• Social media platforms

We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and conditions.

User Content

If you submit, post, or share any content through Majlis (such as feedback, reviews, or comments), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content for the purpose of operating and improving our services.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use Majlis for any of the following purposes:

• Violating any laws or regulations
• Infringing on intellectual property rights
• Transmitting harmful code, viruses, or malware
• Harassing, threatening, or defaming others
• Collecting user information without consent
• Impersonating any person or entity
• Interfering with the proper functioning of the app
• Using automated systems to access the app without permission

Disclaimer of Warranties

Majlis is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

• The accuracy, reliability, or availability of the app
• The suitability of the app for your specific needs
• The uninterrupted or error-free operation of the app
• The security of data transmitted through the app

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Majlis and its developers, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits or revenue
• Loss of data or information
• Business interruption
• Personal injury or property damage

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the past twelve months, if any.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Majlis and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the app
• Your violation of these Terms and Conditions
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations

Modifications to the App

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Majlis at any time without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts or all of the app without liability.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending a notification through the app (for material changes)

Your continued use of Majlis after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to Majlis immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms and Conditions. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the app will immediately cease
• You must delete the app from your devices
• Any provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Dispute Resolution

If you have any dispute with Majlis, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, you may pursue legal remedies in accordance with the governing law.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Majlis regarding the use of our app and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. Any waiver of these terms must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Majlis.
